The power of public officials is sacred and requires sound character. Accountabity to the winners is and has been provided to them through the American system of free elections. This law addresses the punishment part for irresponsible conduct.
Lying to the public during the election process or while in office in the Senate or in Congress or to the media or in speeches is a fatal error and is the crime of Abuse of Power. Areas covered are Energy Policy, Military Defense and Equipment, Jobs and the Economy, Climate Change, Finance and Banking especially derivatives and the interests of the USA here and abroad. The punishment is meted out by disallowing the violator the right to introduce any legislation or co-authoring of legislation. Constituents will be notified of this poor conduct in all media. Jail terms of no less than five years with no parole are also stipulated for more serious lies regarding proposed legislation. The rewards are the sense of personal satisfaction that comes to those who practice honesty, principle and duty which is the essence of high character.
