President, Build Products That Create Jobs Institute
A Division of The Lazar Group, Incorporated
Mike Saloomey is one of those natural leaders and managers. He is responsible for training and coaching new Product-Builders in The New American Leadership System™ (NALS) and for consulting in getting equipment vendors to work together to be really productive and profitable.
Mike is an established leader in the Service Management business. He worked for one of the top ten manufacturers of Semi Conductor equipment worldwide. He has succeeded in building a first class service organization, successful even during the years of steady decline in the Semi Conductor equipment business. The loyalty among Mike’s Service team is directly related to the skills he learned from mastering The New American Leadership System™.
Mike has used The New American Leadership System™ skills to enhance every aspect of his life. His performance record as a Service Manager was outstanding. He possesses an uncanny ability to weed through tough problems and get to the point. Mike has the natural ability to look at situations from a logical standpoint. He is also able to humanize difficult situations into workable alternatives. The result: a Common Sense solution to any problem.
Mike has worked extensively with the concepts of Total Productive Maintenance. He has developed ways of implementing TPM to benefit both the equipment supplier and the end user. By using The New American Leadership System™ for basic training, TPM principals can be incorporated on highly sophisticated Semi Conductor manufacturing equipment.
In his role as Service Manager, Mike has worked extensively with Japanese affiliates. He has spent time studying the Japanese business culture, and understands the complexities of being a US based company, doing business in Japan. He has been instrumental in implementing a long-term strategy for maintaining profitability in a waning Japanese economy and others as well.
Mike continues to be a forerunner in the development of new Service strategies. He has completed an extensive Service plan that incorporates many of the principals of The New American Leadership System™ directly with Corporate Goals and Objectives. In addition, he formed a Strategic Action Team responsible for first line support worldwide for Field Service problems.
Another leadership role includes success as a small business owner. Mike was president of a local Chamber of Commerce in a Vermont resort area town. Under Mike’s leadership the membership of the Chamber grew dramatically.
